Tight Tolerance Machining Services

CNC Turning, Milling, and Prototype Machining for Demanding Applications

Dadeks Machine Works is a Houston-based CNC machine shop built for low volume CNC machining – 1 to 500 pieces – where dimensional accuracy and material behavior aren’t negotiable. We run CNC turning services, milling, drilling, boring, and laser marking in-house. When a job requires outside finishing, we source and manage it. You get finished parts, not a handoff to a second vendor.

Our specialty is smaller precision components: 0.125” in diameter (5C collet) up to 5” in diameter. We’ve machined parts for the oil and gas industry for over 55 years. The same capability – tight tolerances, difficult materials, small batches – applies across industries that need precision work done and delivered on schedule.

Materials and Specifications

We work across a broad range of metals and materials, including high-performance alloys common in demanding service environments. If your application involves Nitronic 60, Nitronic 50, Inconel machining, Monel K500, or other specialty alloys, we have experience with the machining behavior and tolerances those materials require.

Typical materials include:

  • Aluminum
  • Brass
  • Bronze
  • Carbon steel
  • Tungsten
  • Plastics, including XNBR
  • Cast Monel D
  • Monel K500
  • 17-4 PH (SAE 630)
  • Stainless steel, 300 and 400 series
  • Nitronic-50 and Nitronic-60
  • Inconel 718

If your material isn’t listed, call us and ask. Our mechanical engineer can advise on machinability and flag any considerations before we quote.

Standard work holds ±0.005”. We routinely work to ±0.001” when your specifications require it. If your drawings call for tighter, bring them to us before assuming it’s out of range.

Equipment and In-House Capabilities

CNC Turning Services

Six Mazak and Doosan CNC lathes and four manual lathes. Parts up to 6” in diameter and 40” in length, with a maximum turning diameter of 13.78”. CNC turning is the core of most orders we run.

CNC Milling

Five CNC mills and three manual mills, running three and four-axis work. Work envelope up to 40” x 20” x 24”. Four-axis finishing is handled in-house.

Drilling and Boring

In-house drilling to 12” in depth; boring to 6” in diameter and 12” in length. We source and manage deeper drilling when your job requires it.

Laser Marking

Two Omtech laser markers – 30W and 50W – for engraving on flat or curved surfaces. Data Matrix code capability is available for parts that require traceability marking.

Magnetic Permeability Testing

In-house testing is available for parts where material verification is required before or after machining.

Finishing and Outside Services

When a job requires plating, heat treating, rubber bonding, or grinding, we source those services and manage the work through to delivery. One point of contact, finished parts.

Prototype Machining Services and Repeat Production

We run the full range of low volume CNC machining: first-article prototypes, short-run production, repeat orders, and turnkey machining from finished drawings. We also machine replacement parts for pumps, valves, and industrial equipment – including cases where OEM parts are unavailable or delayed – and emergency machining services when your timeline doesn’t allow for a standard lead time.

The process is the same regardless of quantity. Your drawings are reviewed by our mechanical engineer before production begins. Parts are inspected before they ship. For repeat customers, we maintain documentation and production history that supports dock-to-stock programs when your procurement process requires it.

Send Us Your Drawings

Finished drawings or CAD files are all we need to get started. We’ll review specs, flag any concerns before production begins, and return a quote with lead times. No minimum quantities. No pressure toward batch sizes that don’t fit your project.
